The End!

Well everyone please remember to send Nick your numbers so that he can determine the winner. And with that, this is the end of the Biggest Loser this time around! If you could all send me your final weights I can update the spreadsheet and post the results...who lost the most weight, percent and so forth! Thanks for participating and I hope that you all had fun!

Most of all I hope that we have all realized that we can live healthier lives and will continue to become more fit through good eating, exercise, drinking enough water and so forth!

So KEEP LOSING!

Chad

Run Forest Run!!!

OK Guys, the next challenge involves running so get your running shoes out of your closet and get ready. The winner of this challenge will be the person who ran the farthest. You can run anyway you would like to add to your distance (elliptical, treadmill, track, neighborhood jog). Make sure before you get off the treadmill or elliptical you note the distance you ran or if you went for a jog, Google map your distance. E-mail your distances to me by Monday night at onthegreen88@gmail.com. The winner will receive a $15 gift card to itunes.

Good luck

Next Challenge

Ok, gang. I like the point-system idea because it really helps me to be consciously aware of what I am eating and keep track of my exercise minutes. So here’s the challenge for this week:

1. Exercise for 30 minutes a day = 1 point
2. Eat five servings of fruits/vegetables a day = 1 point
3. Eat a healthy breakfast (and I’m not just talking a piece a fruit, see website for breakfast ideas that will qualify as a point) = 1 point
http://www.eatright.org/cps/rde/xchg/ada/hs.xsl/home_4119_ENU_HTML.htm

If you do all three in one day, you get a bonus of 5 points. The person with the most points (Wednesday – Monday) will receive a $15 gift card to Dick’s sporting goods (or the sporting goods store of your choice). Please report your point total to me at bekah.byron@hotmail.com by Monday night. Good luck!

Don't Quit

When you've eaten too much and you can't write it down,
And you feel like the biggest failure in town.
When you want to give up just because you gave in,
and forget all about being healthy and thin.
So What! You went over your points a bit,
It's your next move that counts...So don't you quit!
It's a moment of truth, it's an attitude change.
It's learning the skills to get back in your range.
It's telling yourself, "You've done great up till now.
You can take on this challenge and beat it somehow."
It's part of your journey toward reaching your goal.
You're still gonna make it, just stay in control.
To stumble and fall is not a disgrace,
If you summon the will to get back in the race.

But, often the struggler's, when loosing their grip,
Just throw in the towel and continue to slip.
And learn too late when the damage is done,
that the race wasn't over...they still could have won.
Lifestyle change can be awkward and slow,
but facing each challenge will help you grow.
Success is failure turned inside out,
the silver tint in a cloud of doubt.
When you're pushing to the brink, just refuse to submit,
If you bite it, you write it...But don't you quit!

Start today...or at least tomorrow!!!

PROCEED
What would you do right now if you knew that everything today would
turn out perfectly? What project would you start, what person would
you talk to, what problem would you tackle if you could be assured of
success?
Is there anything you're putting off because you're afraid of
failure? Is there anyone you're avoiding because you're afraid of
what they would say or think?
There is no guarantee of success. But there is a guarantee that if
you never go for it, you'll never have it. And even in the failed
attempts, you'll learn and grow. There is no guarantee that other
people will think highly of all you say and do. But that's their
problem.
Do you believe in the worth of your own pursuits? If so, then what
could possibly prevent you from following them? If you're looking for
a sure thing, then here's one -- everything you achieve will come
only from the things you attempt. In order to succeed, you must
proceed. Today is a great day to start.
